Solar energy is an integrated and essential part of renewable and sustainable energy. However, the major downfall of solar energy is that it cannot yield during night time. As solar panels generate electricity from solar rays so they cannot produce electricity after sunset. However, solar panels are going to generate electricity after sunset as well in the near future.
As per researchers, when we combine photovoltaic cells with thermo-radiative cells in solar panels, those panels will produce one-fourth of electricity after sunset. This worth mentioning that thermo-radiative cells are cells that generate electricity by using the heat energy emitted from radiative cooling. Currently, these cells are under the testing phase and many industries are doing research on them. Some industries harnessing the waste heat by these thermo-radiative cells.
