IT Revenue of Pakistan Has Grown By 23.4% Over One Year

Pakistan earned $1438.826 million during July-2019-June-2020 and the IT Revenue of Pakistan Has Grown By 23.4% Over One Year. As per the latest report from the Ministry of Information technology and Telecommunication, Pakistan earned this money by providing different information technology services in various countries. Furthermore, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported that overall 20.72 percent growth in revenue is observed. Pakistan collected the revenue of $1191.86 million during the previous fiscal year.

It is worth mentioning that during the period under review, total computer services grew by 24 percent as compared to that of the previous year. During the fiscal year 2018-2019, this amount was $895 million and during the fiscal year 2019-2020, it was $1106 million. Furthermore, software consultancy services increase by 15 percent. So, revenue from consultancy increased from $454 million to $408 million this year. In addition to this, export and import of software services rose by 12 percent. Consequently, revenue increases from $285 million to $318 million.

Furthermore, exports of hardware consultancy decrease by 17 percent during the previous fiscal year. So, the export of $2.35 million decreases to $1.95 million. However, exports of other services and software consultancy increase by 52 percent from $247.976 million to $376.7 million. Furthermore, the export of repair and maintenance services declined by 75 percent. So, exports of $6.037 million decrease to $1.52 million. However, information services export increases by 62 percent. So, information services cost went from $1.58 million to $2.5 million.

In addition to these services, the exports of news agency services increase by 101 percent from $0.678 million to $1.37 million. Furthermore, exports of other information services also increase by 32 percent from $0.94 million to $ 1.19 million. The export of information and telecommunication services increases by 12 percent. So, export of $295 million increase to $331 million during the financial year under review.
