It is being said that TikTok will be banned in Pakistan as the petitioner has approached Sindh High Court. Petitioner wants a ban on TikTok in Pakistan. He has the stance against the TikTok and other social media apps that these applications are a great source of vulgarity and ill ethics.
Furthermore, he said Pakistan is an Islamic state and should not allow the use of such immoral applications. Additionally, he says these social media apps are a great source of wastage of money and time of youth.
TikTok Ban in Pakistan?
It is worth mentioning that a local court of India banned TikTok back in February last year. However, the ban was lifted after the company assured the local court of India that the company will comply with community guidelines.
So, it is obvious if Sindh High Court puts a ban on the company. It will bring social media companies on knees and they will strictly comply with social norms and values.
The petitioner filed the petition in court against the Chairman PEMRA, DG FIA, and Chairman CII. He asks Sindh High court to order the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and PEMRA to ban these social media apps in Pakistan.
No matter Government bans TikTok or not, I personally believe that TikTok should be ban in Pakistan in 2020
